My name is Andy, and I’m a 30 something year old cycling fan.  I’ve been watching road cycling since 2011, although I would have been watching longer had I discovered the sport earlier.  I’ve been properly hooked for the last few years after becoming more involved in online forums, and watching every race I possibly could.

I’m starting this blog to further my passion for the sport, sharing opinions and trying to bring a different perspective on the racing by writing about topics often ignored by mainstream media. I’ll attempt to keep it lighthearted and simple, with weekly reviews, season reviews, quick digests for what fans need to know and which race highlights to catch up on. I’ll even throw in some fantasy cycling guides for the various games that are out there.

I’m also keen to travel to as many races as I can to put together a few photo galleries.  This will be a work in progress, and I’ll only ever post photos that are worth seeing.  I’m taking an online professional photography course so I can combine the two passions, and it’s not like I’m lacking in inspiration from the professional world with the galleries on CyclingTips, pro teams own photographers, and freelance legends like Scott Mitchell.

One more thing about me, is I’m quite nerdy with statistics. I enjoy finding alternative ways to look at the obvious, so if I can put together something interesting before major races or in my weekly or season summaries then I absolutely will. Hopefully this will give fans more ways to look at the racing, or at least different things to think about.

So stay tuned! I’ll need some practise before I’m in the full swing of things, and hopefully you’ll enjoy reading what I put together.
